ICEM Professional Aviation Fire Fighter Certificate – Batch 11 (Private Candidates commenced on 22 December 2019 until 14 May 2020.  As part of this certificate course, the NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter 1 course of 4 weeks commenced from 26 January 2020 until 20 February 2020 conducted by Murad Al Rimawi and Rashid Al Shandoodi.  This comprehensive course covers topics such as breathing apparatus, PPE, General vehicle safety, Communications, identification and use of Fire Service equipment. Building entry and egress methods, Hazardous materials, Salvage operations, Post-incident considerations and Report writing.  The aim of this course is to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding of the student to be able to operate safely and effectively as a professional fire fighter and to meet the NFPA Standards for Professional Firefighter Qualifications Firefighter 1.  Said Al Mawali and Rashid Al Shandoodi conducted the one week Breathing Apparatus Wearer course from 23 – 27 February 2020.   The topics included in BAW are: BA Emergency Procedures, BA walk through practical exercise, Fire Suppression,  BA Command and Control, Working in Smoke and Darkness Search and Rescue Techniques, BA practical exercise fire growth, BA Cylinders and working duration and Confined Space Entry.  The second week of Breathing Apparatus Wearer was conducted by Murad Al Rimawi and Rashid Al Shandoodi from 01-05 March 2020.  The one week Road Traffic Collision course was conducted by Murad Al Rimawi and Rashid Al Shandoodi from 8 -12 March 2020.  The candidates responded well to the training.
