On June 24, 2024, two final-year Well Engineering student projects were presented at MOHERI's "Upgrade" program. The Upgrade program aims to transform outstanding graduation projects into successful startups, contributing to socio-economic growth in Oman. The chosen projects, "Flow assurance of waxy crude oil through thermal methods using nichrome wire and ultrasonic waves effects - Experimental & Numerical investigation" by Al Waleed Al Mahrabi & Dr. Girma Chala, and "Horizontal and Vertical Wave Compression to Enhance the Potential of Clean Energy Production from Wave Energy" by Eng. Al Hussain Al Hadrami & Dr. Girma Chala, were presented.
