Programme Overview:

The department of Mechanical Engineering (Well Engineering) was established in 2000.  The programme covers the basic and advanced level modules in Mechanical Engineering (Well Engineering). The programme is affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan-UK) and managed by the programme team from Oman as well as representatives from affiliate institute. The programme aims to develop a range of competencies relevant to Mechanical (Well) Engineering industries, including supporting service industries. In addition, it plays a vital role in producing graduates with skills in solving realistic engineering problems faced by industries. The graduates are well-equipped for an excellent career in the Energy and Engineering industry. The laboratories are also equipped with a range of diverse software for equally diverse applications such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB, Virtual Lathe, MS Project, Drillsim and Lathe CAM.
